Teardrop Sponge

These sponges have been specially designed to apply pigments and washes. The soft material makes it easy to work on delicate models without damaging paint or surface detail, to remove excess pigment and is very easy to wash. We recommend using this finishing product on a satin or glossy surface. Sponges are available in three different shapes to meet a variety of modeller needs. You can also cut them into unique shapes with scissors or a hobby knife for specific applications.

If you use the sponge to clean washes, wait 15 to 20 minutes for the wash to dry, then gently run the sponge over the surface to wipe off any excess. Note that drying time can be accelerated with a hair dryer. Use several gentle strokes until the desired blending effect or complete removal of the effect is achieved.

When used with pigments and enamel thinner, allow the thinner to dry for about 15 minutes or accelerate drying with a hair dryer before working on the surface. If you're using dry pigments, you can start working on them straight away. The product can be completely removed or blended to create smooth transitions using the sponge shape best suited to the surface.
